The second event in the Art in the Garden Series was a great success! Irmgard Schwarz (flute) & Annabelle Herbert (violin) played beautiful music that wafted all through the garden area all afternoon.
Artists Mary Dudley & Kathleen Horne had a great time chatting & showing participants how to create different types of prints and to draw/colour a Flower of Life. Meinsje Vlaming demonstrated her clay heads, figures and masks. She also had samples of her dolls scattered throughout the garden in spaces between plants -- truly Art in the Garden, very literally.
Lemonade and iced tea kept us all refreshed.
Wish more of you could have been there.
Next Saturday afternoon we'll have Dianne Bersea & Jodi Forster demonstrating their art. Come and join us.

Thank you for a wonderful experience.

This was a truly lovely afternoon. The combination of the beautiful garden; the gentle and inspiring music, which I could have listened to forever; (and I'm ignorant of and usually allergic to classical music) and the hands-on demonstrations by the devoted and patient artists, which opened our eyes to new techniques and allowed us to try them, was a winning combination. The lemondade and tea was already great, but if you need contributions you might think of serving an English tea, with cucumber sandwitches and biscuits. Contact me if you want a poetry afternoon before August 17th - we'd sharea few poems appropriate to the setting and write some of our own. orkshop.
