An enormous thank you to everyone who helped make Cortes Day a big success again this year. To those who helped set up and take down in such good order - Steve Ringwood, Andy Ellingsen, Michael Hoskin, Peter Henbury, Frank Curtis and Alois Stranon. Dova and Ron for handling the garbage detail; all the SCCA members who manned the various food concessions with help from many, many volunteers, especially Jim Hentschel who worked over and above at the hamburger stand. Frank Curtis for the Chicken Poop and Splat a Rat events and Trygve Ellingsen who single handedly organized and ran the Nail, Sail and Bail event under most trying circumstances. Serge for the horseshoes and Bruce for the lumbering events. To Chloe, Amiti and Erin for the children's games and to Kelly for organizing the parade. As always - the Fire department, the Ambulance crew and the Coast Guard were there to help out. To all those who ran concessions and kept the grounds clean and the crowd well fed and happy. Last but not least to Walter Nugent for keeping it all together for the past weeks and months when things got a bit panicky. Well done everyone and we can do it all again next year - bigger and better.
