Friday, July 18, 2008, The Old Schoolhouse hosted its third show of the season, Light Being, a Black and White only exibition, organized by John Preston.

A very good crowd attended and saw a combined 60 works by John, Richard Trueman, and Philip Wood. All photographers were in attendance and answered questions about their work.

To quote John Preson’s words...
All photographs are by their nature about their subject matter, the face, the car, the tree etc. That objective subject matter by nature also includes two less seen subjects, the photographer ,and the viewer. What joins them together is "light". This "light" is perceived by consciousness. In meditation when the mind becomes concentrated it can produce an "inner light". This inner light is a manifestation of the mind becoming aware of itself, of it's own "being". Thus we have "light-being", an invitation to notice both the subject and object and ask the question, "who sees this .?"

The show continues July 19, 20, and 25, 26, 27 -all days 5 to 8 PM
