RENOWN QUEBEC HEATER No. 13
Do Not Use · 7th July 2008
Karen
Mansons Landing Hall, August 17, 2008
The Cortes Island Seniors are hosting an auction of Fine Art and Antiques to raise funds for our building project. Join us for an evening of fun with our entertaining auctioneer Ray Grout. Look for our weekly updates on Tidelines and visit us at the Friday Markets at Mansons Hall on August 1, 8, and 15th to look through our preview book containing pictures and descriptions of the auction items.
Many of the antiques have a personal history with Cortes Island and include such antiques as a vintage wedding dress, brass & granite plant stand, grandfather clock, silver cruet set, scales from the old Cortes Island School, and much more.
Art work has been donated by internationally-known local Cortes Island artists and includes sculptures, fine wood-work pieces, jewelry, paintings, print, quilts, mixed-media, to name a few more.
For information about the auction, you can contact Karen Graham at 250-935-6309. You can visit their web sites to learn more about our local artists. Here is just a small sampling of the artists whose work will be available at the auction:
