PERRIN SPARKS featured artist for the month of June at DRAW Gallery. An array of current sketches in oil, charcoal and pastel. Gallery is open Thurs thru Sat 12-6pm. Haunting and beautiful, these sketches capture a breath in time which is so fleeting. Perrin is a Quadra Island local artist. For the past 25 years, she had prepared surgical illustrations for a variety of medical schools and publishers. Today, she finds herself moving from commission portraits, which have been a sideline to her medical art career, to full time fine art paintings. As Perrin says, “I guess after years of ‘blue for the veins, red for the arteries,’ I want to break out and tell my own story.”

Coming in July, ‘AN ISLAND LIFE’ new works by LOUISE LAVALLEÉ. Artist’s reception first Fridays will be on July 4th from 6-8pm. Everyone is welcome.
