You are invited to LOCALIZE YOUR LIFE on May 23/24 (Friday & Saturday). This year’s Sustainability Home Show is focussed on local wisdom, local experts, and local actions towards local resilience. Here are some of the special events and exhibits.

MAY 23 (FRIDAY) 7-9PM, Evening Presentation by Keynote Speakers:
Norm Harry with a Klahoose opening ceremony & traditional First Nations wisdom. Delores Broten, Watershed Sentinel Editor, speaking on Local Sustainable Actions. Eco-Youth Initiatives with audio & visual presentations by the next generation. World Café Round Table where you can add your ideas towards building a resilient island community. Childcare available by donation in the Pioneer Room during the Round Table discussion. With tasty dessert treats by Lisa-Jo all evening and great door prizes.

MAY 24 (SATURDAY) 10AM-4PM, Exhibit Day: Indoor & outdoor booths full of ideas for cutting down your home energy costs, generating your own power, growing your own food, conserving water, reducing waste, and many other local solutions. There will be an abundance of great local food with lunch and snacks catered by Lisa-Jo. Don’t miss Brent’s all you can eat oysterbar with a workshop to tune-up your oyster shucking skills. Lots of children’s fun learning activities, ECO-youth art displays, raffle basket draw, and hands-on demonstrations. Childcare available by donation in the Pioneer Room.

These 2 events are happening at Manson’s Community Hall, Friday & Saturday, May 23/24. Please carpool with your neighbours and enjoy this unique Cortes Island gathering.
