Harby Dar Music has been active on Cortes for many years, producing concerts, teaching music, and publishing and promoting the music of Rick Bockner. This winter, with support from Literacy Now and Folk U, Rick will be offering a series of all day long workshops, on varying aspects of musicianship and guitar for those wanting to increase their knowledge. Classes will run from 10 am to 4 pm every other Saturday, and will explore:


* Early blues guitar (2 classes) - February 2nd & 16th

* Fretboard logic and basic music theory (all stringed instruments
welcome)- March 2nd 

* Open tuning for guitar- March 16th

* Accompaniment and arranging (all instruments welcome)- March 30th

* Performance tips (all instruments welcome)- April 6th 



You can subscribe for the series, or choose the classes you want to take individually. $60 per session, bulk discount and scholarships available.

Bring a lunch. Tea and Coffee provided. Participants should have basic knowledge of chords and be able to play some simple songs. This is not for the new beginner. Age 12+ welcome.

Some classes are just for guitar and others are more general with all instruments welcome
