Our annual Cortes Island Christmas Bird Count (CBC) finally happened (after two cancellations) on Sunday, December 30. The results are included in pdf attachments below.

Cortes Island Museum would like to thank all the participants who made this happen: our bird group leaders – Andy, Laurel, Pete, Samantha, and Tamias; participants – Bruce, Carrie, Chris, Jurek, Gary, Elinore, Leona, and Tom; bird feeder observers – Carol and Richard, Christian and Aileen, Martha, Samantha, George, Marian, and Jurek. Also, Christine, Carrie, Isabel, Katie, and Tosh, who counted birds in the Carrington Bay and Lagoon on Saturday, December 15.

We would like to thank the Cortes Market for providing lunch space and coffee to our birders; Curt (Squirrel Cove store) and Ann, for providing tea & coffee break.

Final results are included here. They are also available on the Museum website https://cortesmuseum.com/bird-counting/.
