Cortes Island School.Cortes Island Museum, Friday Dec 07 1:30 – 2:30pm.The exhibit celebrates the Great Blue Heron, one of our most beautiful and iconic coastal birds and species at risk.
It is the culmination of our
Great Blue Herons Come to School Environmental Art Project led by artist Jane Newman. Jane ran a series of creative art sessions with all three classes throughout the fall semester to celebrate and teach students about this amazing bird. This is a particularly appropriate project for the school, which proudly has the heron as its logo.
