Literacy Now Cortes and Cortes Island Business and Tourism Association are teaming up with the North Island Employment Foundation Society (NIEFS) to offer Eyes Wide Open Cortes: a free workshop developed to share ideas and highlight resources for self employment, side gigs and how to piece together different jobs to thrive throughout the year.

We invite residents to come share their ideas and experiences with self employment and look at how to support each other whether starting your own business, finding extra side jobs or piecing together different kinds of work to help pay the bills. NIEFS will be on hand to facilitate the discussion and share information/resources as their job is to support employment or self employment for Quadra and Cortes residents and the North Island.

Join us on March 10 from 2-5 pm at the Klahoose Multipurpose Building.

Great to see this. NIEFS really helped me a lot at a time of transition when things looked pretty blocked. Hope it's as helpful for you!
