The only time I stayed at Hollyhock was back in the late 90's with my daughter-in-law when we participated in a community-building workshop lead by Wedledi Speck. We knew we had come to a special place just getting to Hollyhock via the ferries. I had my first taste at the amazing goodwill and friendliness of Canadians during the workshop. We all embraced the process and each other, made friendships that to this day I still remember fondly and with a great reverence. I was at a point in my journey where the validation I received in the form of love truly created a space for me to move into and explore. I was indeed touched on many more levels and Hollyhock remains at the top of my list for places I long to return to. My daughter-in-law will e-mail me and write-"I just checked out the Hollyhock site today-I needed a fix." If we never return to Hollyhock we can find solace in knowing that it will forever remain in our hearts and a part of us.
