4th Major Album
Welcome to the Release of "To Honour Joy"
To each of us may come a time when we are granted the opportunity to fulfill a dream. This album of songs is my fulfilled dream, for it is every artist’s wish to manifest a form which mirrors, as closely as possible, the idea received-the pure, sweet gift of inspiration, unaltered by the passage. Most of these songs were written with tears of joy, and from a place of profound gratitude. They have been my tools for, as well as my expression of, the ever-moving journey toward wholeness, healing, and connection with the Divine.
These songs are a product of Community. I wish to thank the Linnaea School community, Donna Bracewell, the principal and writer of the plays, the students, teachers and parents, for the annual Spring Productions, which have inspired many of the songs here. (Numbers 6-12) Thank you to the Saskatchewan communities of my childhood, the Cortes Island community, and my own beloved community of Tiber Bay, for the countless ways in which you have supported my music, encouraging me to record again, after these past eighteen years. These songs are a product of family and friends. For the always present support of my parents, Jean and Bill Reinhardt, my sister Wendie, daughter Mikael, son Paul, each and all of the members of my dear family, thank you. To all of the friends, in all of the places, outside of the communities mentioned above, thank you.
For the form itself, how can I adequately thank all of the friends who contributed their gifts so willingly and with such grace? The Musicians - Ann Mortifee, Charlie Knowles, Mark Dowding, Bruce Hipkin, Mikael Hospes, Liz, Matt, Zak, Paul, and Ron; Visual Artist, Irene Blueth, for the beautiful images behind ‘Feel the Island’; to all of you, thank you a thousandfold.
To my Engineer extra-ordinaire, Tim C. Palmer; to my wonderful Graphic Artist-Photographer, Richard Trueman; to my beloved friend Ann, and my beloved husband Ron, you have been the underpinnings that have made this Adventure possible. Thank You Dear Ones.
These songs were written in celebration of joy. I truly believe that we are meant to drink deeply of this emotion. And I believe that we have partly forgotten how. To help us to remember; to give hope; I offer these songs; for from a place of deep joy we are truly able to be loving. From that whole place of deep JOY we are enabled to trust. And it is LOVE and TRUST that empowers us now.
Blessings, Denise Reinhardt Wolda

And there are movies on the "To Honour Joy" CD!
If you insert the CD into your computer's CD slot, two disc images will mount, an audio disc, which contains the tracks of music, and a movie disc, which contains a file called "extras.htm". Open that file with any browser and you will see a similar page to this. Clicking on one of the pictures, just like the ones below, will start one of the QuickTime® multimedia presentations.(Because of the size of these presentations, 125 MB, we cannot make them accessable over the internet.)
ATTENTION WINDOWS USERS
Unfortunately, things did not work out as planned as we rushed the first 500 CDs to market. It seems the PC QuickTime® installer on the CD does not install even though it's 9 MB in size. So if you do not have have QuickTime® , then you can download it from the Apple site. (There is both a Windows and Macintosh version there) Once installed and for those who already have QuickTime, find the .mov files on the CD and have QuickTime RUN them. Sorry for the inconvenience.
